120/220 Continuous: Heard it before? Probably not. But, have you heard that you can have your dimmer working in New York today and Barcelona tomorrow? You can with the dx. And by the way, you don’t have to modify the dimmer at all. The dx with its worldly sophistication is able to adjust automatically for any line voltage. Wow!

More usable channels for your money: The D125dx is 1500 watts per channel, not a meager 1200. The D625dx is 2500 watts per channel, not a skimpy 2400. With the advent of the popular 750 Watt lamp, what does this mean? A 96 channel rack of D125dx dimmers allows you to use 96 channels, 192 fixtures! Think of the savings, it’s like buying one rack, getting one free.

100 Programmable looks: Sounds good, but what does it mean? You can set up your levels for one venue or multiple venues. Console like features such as: full-proportional soft-patching, pre-heat selections. Custom configure the dimmer for any type or style lamp in your inventory from MR16s, fluorescence, ACLs, 2K incandescent. Simply enter the voltage because the dx is the only dimmer available with continuously variable output voltage selection. In many cases, a console is no longer needed. Take the money saved and invest it, buy more equipment, go on vacation! Time is money as well, you can load in your equipment and call up a past lighting scene.


Fastest response time in the industry: Very important for those all too familiar long cable runs. When you hit full, you want to see your lights respond now! By integrating a properly designed breaker with a very high-surge capable power device and custom filtering, we have a formidable current driving beast. We don't buy typical off-the-shelf components to save us money, we use the good stuff! A joint engineering effort between Electrol and Airpax enable us to incorporate magnetic breakers specifically for the dx. The breakers respond to hazardous overloads but ignore simple inrush currents generated by cold filaments. The Teledyne power devices are not skinny, they are Fat! Loads of head room in RMS current, incredible surge capability and voltage capacity. Filters with very low insertion loss and terrific electromotive characteristics. Why cut corners when our name and yours is on the line? We do it right the first time.

Heat resistant: Boxing/wrestling shows, corporate and industrial events. What to they have in common? Full-on for long periods of time. This causes things to get hot, sometimes really hot. With the dx dimmers, that’s cool, they have a built-in temperature gauge and will cycle the fan when necessary. They take a lot of heat and keep working without any loss of signal strength. How about outdoor venues? The dx dimmers have been put through the test, they work in high humidity, closed off rooms with zero ventilation,. They’re your silent work force.	Power considerations: Have clean power? Great! But what happens if there’s a major storm and the power isn’t so constant? The dx dimmer monitors your input power to thousands of times every second and automatically makes adjustments. So even though it’s raining cats and dogs outside, there's a brown-out, your lamps remain at the level you set, all the way down to 85 Volts! (Vin > Vout) Generator power, delta systems, and wild legs can be a nightmare. Let someone else have those bad dreams, you’ll sleep soundly knowing the dx dimmers are operating normally.

Voltage Error: Safety, it’s paramount at Electrol. That’s why the dx dimmers have the fastest acting safety protection in the industry - for your people, your equipment. Dangerous defective grounds are out there. You can't see them, but the dx 's react immediately. Spectrum OX dimmers: Specs: 1.) The rack is designed with 6 ea. 6 channel dimmer packs, racked. 2.) 36 channels of 2,400 Watts (2.4K) per channel. The lamp wattage may be anything from 100 Watts to 2,400 Watts per channel. 3.) Each channel's output connection has two stage pin (2P&G) female connectors mounted on the front of dimmer pack. 4.) Each of the 36 dimmer channels has it's own breaker for over-current (short circuit) protection. 5.) Each dimmer channel has an HD (350uS) copper wound filter for noise elimination. 6.) Each of the dimmer packs has it's own mains power feed from a mains breaker (225Amp) distribution enclosure on the rear of the rack. One switch (the mains breaker) turns the entire rack on / off. 7.) The Mains distribution enclosure has 5 ea. E1016 Camlock connections on type W wire tails. Ready to plug in and go. The camlock's are color coded for Line 1 (Black), Line 2 (Red), Line 3 (Blue), Neutral (White), Ground (Green). 8.) Each dimmer pack has mains power indicators for L1, L2, L3.
9.) Each dimmer pack has it's own control cable (about 5 ft long) with a 10 pin male CJ (cinch jones) connector. The control voltage is 0 to 10 Vdc. 0 Vdc = dimmer channel off and 10 Vdc = dimmer channel at full on. The control voltage may be derived from the dimmer pack as a source of voltage for remote outdoor locations there is a switch on the front panel of the dimmer to turn this function on or off. Additionally, the control voltage may be from any source capable of supplying 0 - 10 Vdc (zero to ten volts). For an idea of the proceeding, this dimmer rack (all 36 channels) may be controlled from a single 9 Volt transistor radio battery connected to the control input connectors. A simple control console may be built using 36 potentiometers (pots) connected to a 10Vdc power source. The control connections on the CJ connectors is simple: pin 1 = dim ch 1, pin 2 = dim ch 2 and so on. Pins 7 & 8 are control common and 10Vdc from the dimmer (if switched on). 10.) The rack has 4 ea. cooling fans built-in (rear of rack) 11.) The rack was designed for the day to day abuse of the touring / rental part of the lighting industry, in a permanent location the dimming system would last forever ! 12.) The rack stands approx. 38" high x 23" wide x 26" deep (covers removed) 13.) This dimming system has been thoroughly checked out and maintenance / upgrades have been performed. 100% ready for duty.

Colortran FarCyc This was a test fixture that we used when we were working on a heat solution for Disneyland. Disneyland wanted to replace several of their old cyc lights for something that had a high output of light with a lowered output of heat because with their old cyc lights were going through gel on a daily basis.
What we came up with was a Hot Mirror chimney that proved to extremely efficient in all aspects. The fixture was so efficient that it would have actually replaced a union lighting hand that daily duties were to replace gel so tech services scratched the project.
		The Colortran FarCyc is ideal for uniform, energy-efficient lighting of large cycloramas, Far Cyc lights will uniformly illuminate 40 vertical feet of cyc on 12' centers 10' Please note: the sale of this fixture will be "without" the Hot Mirror chimney.
